एक जवान हरविंदर सिंह ने शरद पवार, कृषि मंत्री, भारत सरकार के मुंह पर थप्पड़ मारा और लोगों में हल्ला गुल्ला मच गया. किसी ने मुझ से पूछा शरद पवार के मुंह पर एक जवान ने एक थप्पड़ मारा, मैंने कहा एक ही थप्पड़ मारा? और प्रत्यक्ष थप्पड़ मारने वाले से “एक ही थप्पड़ मारा” कहने वाले को कई लोगों ने अधिक अपराधी माना.
मैंने कई बार ये कहा है कि, अन्ना हजारे कि तुलना महात्मा गाँधी जी से करना ठीक नहीं है. गाँधी जी के पास बैठने की भी मेरी पात्रता नहीं है. लेकिन उनके विचारों का थोड़ा सा प्रभाव मेरे जीवन में पड़ने के कारण देश की उन्नति के लिए ग्राम विकास और अहिंसात्मक संघर्ष जैसा थोडा सा कार्य मैं कर पाया.
मैंने ये भी कहा था कि मैं महात्मा गाँधी जी के आदर्श को मानता हूँ लेकिन कभी-कभी छत्रपति शिवाजी महाराज का भी आदर्श सामने रखता हूँ. मैं किसी पर तलवार से वार नहीं करना चाहता, किसी पर शस्त्र नहीं चलाना चाहिए, किसी से हाथापाई नहीं करना चाहिए. लेकिन किसी को कठोर शब्द प्रयोग करना इस बात को भी महात्मा गाँधी जी ने हिंसा कहा हैं.
समाज और देश कि भलाई के लिए कठोर शब्द की हिंसा मैं बार बार कई सालों से करता आया हूँ. एक ही थप्पड़ मारा? ये मेरी हिंसा हो गई थी. लेकिन समाज कि भलाई के लिए ऐसी हिंसा करने को मैं दोष नहीं मानता. राजनीति में कई लोगों को थप्पड़ मारने का बहुत बुरा लग गया था. कईयों को गुस्सा भी आ गया था. लेकिन उस जवान ने थप्पड़ क्यों मारा था? इस बात को भी सोचना जरुरी था.

Someone asked me that Sharad Pawar has been slapped on his face by a youth. I said – Just one slap? And the people held the person who asked this question more guilty than the person who had actually slapped.
I have said many times in the past that it is incorrect to compare Anna Hazare with Mahatma Gandhi. I am not even eligible to sit at the feet of Mahatma Gandhi but his thoughts have influenced my life in a very small way because of which I have been able to do some work in the field of rural development and non-violent struggle for the development of the country. I have said many times that I consider Mahatma Gandhi as my ideal but sometimes I keep Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj also as my ideal. I do not want to hurt anyone with a sword, I do not want to use arms, I am against any kind of fist fight. But Gandhiji would describe use of strong words also as violence.
For the betterment of the society and the country, I have used strong words many times in the past. “Just One Slap?” – I admit that I committed violence when I said that. संसद का शीतकालीन सत्र आरंभ हो चुका है। सरकार ने आश्वासन दिया है कि इस सत्र में सशक्त `जन लोकपाल विधेयक´ पारित होगा। अब समूचा देश जानने को उत्सुक है कि सरकार इस बारे में क्या कदम उठाती है। मेरे सहयोगी तथा मैं उन गतिविधियों पर बारीकी से नज़र रखे हुए हैं। यह विषय न केवल हम सब के लिए, बल्कि भ्रष्टाचार के खिलाफ लड़ाई में उतर आए करोड़ों भारतवासियों के लिए अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण व केंद्रीभूत है। हर हाल में हमारा ध्यान विचलित न होने पाए इस के लिए सतर्क रहना जरूरी है। उस ख़ातिर मैं तथा मेरे सहयोगी एक दिल, एकजुट से कटिबद्ध हैं। राष्ट्र के भविष्य के लिए यह विषय बहुत ही महत्वपूर्ण है। कुछेक हितसंबंधी व्यक्ति और शक्तियां इसके खिलाफ प्रयासरत हैं। यह भी प्रतीत होता है कि भांति-भांति के छद्म हस्तकों की बड़ी फौज इस हेतू कार्यरत है। जब से `जन लोकपाल विधेयक´ का आंदोलन चला है, मेरी टीम के सदस्यों पर भ्रष्टाचार समेत अनेक विध इल्ज़ाम मढ़ना, मेरे तथा मेरे सहयोगियों के बीच मतभेद, मनभेद तथा फूट डालने के निरंतर प्रयास, निराधार बातों कों उड़ाकर हमारे बारे में और आंदोलन के खिलाफ़ अफवाहें व गलतफहमियां फैला कर जनता को गुमराह करना, जन मानस को भ्रमित करने हेतू व्यापक प्रसिद्धि अभियान आदि-आदि कई हथकंडे आजमाए जा रहे हैं। सुना है कि इस काम में करोड़ों रुपए भी लगे हुए हैं। आंदोलन विरोधी ताक़तें लगातार ऐसे प्रयास कर रही हैं। सामने आने वाले चेहरों के पीछे असली सूत्र संचालक कौन है? इस व्यापक प्रसिद्धि तंत्रा के लिए आवश्यक वित्त का प्रबंध् कहां से हो रहा है? ऐसे कई-कई सवाल हैं। जो कुछ भी हो, हमारे बीच फूट डालने के प्रयासों को न सफलता मिली है, न मिलेगी। न केवल देश के हर कोने से बल्कि, दुनिया भर से जो प्रतिक्रियाएं हमें...

आज़ादी के बाद गांधी जी ने बलशाली भारत का सपना देखा था। उन्होंने संदेश दिया- “गांव की ओर चलो”। जब तक गांव स्वावलंबी और स्वयंशासित नहीं बनेंगे, तब तक सही बलशाली भारत का सपना पूरा नहीं होगा। गांधी जी का कहना था कि विकास करते समय इन बातों पर ध्यान देना जरूरी है। हम प्रकृति और मानवता का शोषण (दोहन) करते हुए प्रकृति ने हमें जो देन दिया है उसका सही तरीके से नियोजन करें ताकि व्यक्ति, परिवार और गाँव स्वावलंबी बने।
आज हम विकास का सपना देख रहे हैं। लेकिन प्रकृति और मानवता का दोहन करके विकास हो रहा है। उदा, पेट्रोल, डीजल, रॉकेल, कोयला, पानी जैसे भूगर्भ और भूपृष्ठ के साधन सम्पति का ज्यादा से ज्यादा शोषण (दोहन) करके विकास कर रहे हैं। यह सही विकास नहीं है। बढ़ती हुई जनसंख्या बढ़ती ही जाएगी और जनसंख्या बढ़ने के कारण लोगों की जरूरतें भी बढ़ती जाएंगी। बढ़ती हुई जनसंख्या की अंतिम सीमा नहीं है। लेकिन प्रकृति से जो चीज़ें ले रहे हैं उन सबकी सीमा है। वह एक-एक करके ख़त्म होने वाली हैं। इसका विचार करना जरूरी है। दोहन के कारण आज देश के कई गांवों का पानी ख़त्म हो गया है। गरमी के दिनों में वहां बाहर से टैंकर से पानी लाना पड़ता है। आज पानी ख़त्म हो गया है, एक दिन पेट्रोल ख़त्म हो जाएगा, डीजल ख़त्म होगा, रॉकेल ख़त्म होगा, कोयला ख़त्म होगा। उस वक्त हमारी आने वाली संतान का क्या होगा? आज इस बारे में कोई सोच नहीं हो रही है। इसलिए महात्मा गांधी सोचते थे कि प्राकृतिक स्थिति देखकर सही नियोजन करके विकास करना आवश्यक है। भारत के लिए भगवान ने प्राकृतिक साधन, संपत्ति का खजाना दिया है लेकिन सही नियोजन करके विकास करना जरूरी है। देश की अर्थनीति के बारे में महात्मा गांधी जी ने कहा है कि...
Gandhiji dreamt of a strong independent India. His message was – go to the villages. Till the villages became self sufficient and self-administered, the dream of a strong India would never be fulfilled. Mahatma Gandhi used to say that development should not be based on exploitation of man and nature. Let us plan whatever nature has given us properly so that every person, family and village becomes self sufficient.
Today we have a dream for development but this development is taking place by exploiting nature and mankind. Petrol, diesel, kerosene, coal, water etc – such natural resources which are found underground are being exploited indiscriminately for development. This is not the right kind of development. The population would keep on increasing and due to this increase in population people’s needs would also increase. There is no limit to increase in population. But the resources provided by nature are limited. And these resources are depleting one by one. This is a matter of concern. Due to indiscriminate exploitation, there is severe water scarcity in many villages of India. In summers water has to be imported in tankers to these villages. Today water has got exhausted, some day petrol would get exhausted, diesel would get exhausted, kerosene would get exhausted, coal would get exhausted. What would happen to our future generations? Yesterday in Press Conference at Maharashtra Sadan Delhi, Respected Annaji Hazare publicly declared that he never ever spoke to me or met me on the issue of re-structuring of Core Committee and forming a new Pan- Indian organization with ‘immediate effect’. Annaji added that I am speaking of my own mind. One Hindi Channels senior journalist called me an agent of Central Minister. Everybody in media present there at Annaji’s Press-Conference laughed at me. Actually as I was saying again and again Annaji was fed up with the core team and especially these four members (though he won’t say this in public as he is decent enough ) wanted to re-structure core team and build Pan-Indian organization. But this letter (scanned copy) is hand-written by Anna Hazare and signed by Annaji Hazare on 23rd of October 2011 at 2:30 pm when he made up his mind to get away from Kejriwal, Bedi and Prashant Bhushan and their pawns in Core Committee. I would like to thank Indian Express (Mr. Atikh Rashid) for showing their interest in my blog and asking me ‘How do I feel about my Blog?’
Today Information Technology has achieved great heights. One can easily see the worldwide fierce competition among them. The ever changing scenario and progress is mind-boggling. It is a matter of pride that India is not left behind. Though I am the one to give credence to Mahatma Gandhi’s school of thought I am sure if the same information and technology was available during his time he would surely have used it to the best of his advantage. Every second is important in human life and technology saves time.
Gandhiji was of the opinion that development that takes place without exploiting nature and humans is sustainable development. But development that happens through means of exploitation is absolutely unethical development.
(Information) Technology has enabled us to save on fuel and cars. Important aspect is development happening without pollution. This technology has brought the world closer. Now it is time we try to bring people close to each other. For this to happen we should inculcate Gandhiji’s thought with technology and thus accomplish our goals.

माझ्या भगिनींनो आणि बांधवांनो ,
नमस्कार.
‘इंडियन एक्सप्रेस’ने (आतिक रशीद) माझ्या ब्लॉगबद्दल जाणून घेण्याचा प्रयत्न करून “माझ्या ब्लॉगबद्दल मला कसे वाटते.” अशी विचारणा केली त्याबद्दल त्यांचे धन्यवाद.
आज माहिती-तंत्रज्ञानाने जगामध्ये आश्चर्यकारक प्रगति केली आहे. सर्व जगभर माहिती-तंत्रज्ञानाच्या स्पर्धा सुरु झालेल्या आहेत. दररोज आश्चर्य वाटावे अशी प्रगती होत आहे. त्यामध्ये भारतही मागे नाही हीं अभिमानाची गोष्ट आहे. मी गांधीजींच्या विचारसरणीचा पुरस्कर्ता असलो तरीही आजचे माहिती आणि तंत्रज्ञान महात्मा गांधीजींच्या वेळेला असते तर त्यांनीही या तंत्रज्ञानाचा नक्कीच उपयोग करून घेतला असता, असं मला वाटते. कारण या तंत्रज्ञानामुळे माणसांच्या जीवनातील प्रत्येक क्षण हा महत्त्वाचा असतो. त्या वेळेची बचत होते.
महात्मा गांधीजी म्हणत असतं की निसर्ग आणि मानवतेचे शोषण न करता केलेला विकास हा शाश्वत विकास असतो तर वस्तूंचे शोषण करून जो विकास होतो तो योग्य नाही.
या (माहिती) तंत्रज्ञानामुळे मोठ्या प्रमाणात वाहनांवर होणारा खर्च वाचला आहे. त्याचप्रमाणे प्रदुषण न करता विकास होत आहे, ही महत्त्वाची बाब आहे. या तंत्रज्ञानामुळे जग फार जवळ आले आहे. आता माणसे जवळ कशी येतील असा प्रयत्न करणे आवश्यक आहे. त्यासाठी महात्मा गांधीजींच्या विचाराला या टेक्नोलोजीची जोड दिली, तर दोन्ही गोष्टी साध्य होतील, असं मला वाटते.
जेव्हा माझ्या ब्लॉगवरहीं माझ्या विचारांचे कोटी कोटी लोक थेट वाचन करतात तेव्हा हा तंत्रज्ञानाचाच प्रभाव आहे असं मला वाटते. (सावल्या , माझ्या उजव्या बाजूला सुरेश पठारे आणि डाव्या बाजूला दादा पठारे)

Namaskar.
The thought of giving up on my ‘maun vrat’ is playing in my mind. In the next 3 to 4 days I might end my ‘maun vrat’. Crores of people have turned to reading my blog all over the world hence I think it would only seem appropriate that I end my ‘maun’ and hold open discussions with them. I will embark on a tour and meet all those young men and women, farmers, working class, school children from all over the world who were a part of this movement against corruption and at times even went to jail for the sake of the cause. I have this strong urge from within to meet and talk to all these people who bravely faced the hazards. Hence I would like to end my ‘maun’ and start off touring different states and hold discussions with them.
Especially I hope to gather as much energy from these young men and women as I had during my previous movement. The same energy will be utilized to get the Janlokpal Bill and then my struggle will continue for ‘Right to Reject’ and ‘Right to Recall’. All my countrymen will be connected with me directly in this struggle is my belief.

माझ्या भगिनींनो आणि बांधवांनो ,
नमस्कार.
माझे मौन सोडण्याचे विचार सुरु झालेत. येणाऱ्या ३ ते ४ दिवसात मौन सोडण्याचा विचार करतो आहे कारण माझ्या ब्लॉगवरून ज्या अर्थी कोट्यावधी जनता वाचक झाली आहे त्या अर्थी अधिक मौन न बाळगता त्यांच्याशी खुलेआम चर्चा करणे मला अधिक महत्त्वाच वाटतं.
देशभर दौरे करून जे तरूण-तरुणी, शाळेतील मुले, शेतकरी, कामगार वर्ग, स्त्रिया व पुरुष यांनी ह्या आंदोलनाला जगभर साथ देऊन रस्त्यावर येऊन आंदोलने केली, प्रसंगी जेल मध्ये गेले, संकटांना सामोरे गेले. त्या सर्वांना पाहायची आणि त्यांच्याशी बोलण्याची माझीही तीव्र इच्छा झालेली आहे. त्यामुळे लवकरच मौन सोडून त्यांच्याशी चर्चा करण्यासाठी विविध राज्यांचे दौरे मी आता आयोजित करत आहे.
अशा दौऱ्यांमुळे मागील आंदोलनामध्ये ज्याप्रमाणे मला जनतेमधून खास करून युवक-युवतींकडून जी उर्जा प्राप्त झाली होती तशीच उर्जा मला मिळत राहिल व या उर्जेच्या बळावर मी ‘जनलोकपाल’ कायदा होईपर्यंत व नंतर ‘Right to Reject’ (नकार देण्याचा अधिकार) and ‘Right to Recall’ (परत बोलावण्याचा अधिकार) होईपर्यंत लढत पुढे जाणार आहे.
देशातील तुम्ही सर्वजण थेट माझ्या बरोबर असालच!

My health still doesn’t permit me to give up my ‘maun vrat’. There is still some swelling on my feet and the knee troubles me a lot. ‘Maun vrat’ helps me heal my body from within and outside. Verbal Communication with people is an exertion for me leaving me very weak. Hence keeping my physical condition in mind I have taken the decision to go on with ‘maun vrat’. Jai Hind!

New Delhi: A new website has been launched, dedicated to superstar Rajinikanth, which runs without an internet. It is shocking but true that you need not an internet connection to browse the superstar's website.
It is said that if you switch on your internet connection, the site will stop working. Visitors to www.allaboutrajinikanth.com were warned that he is not an ordinary man and this is not an ordinary website. It runs on Rajini Power and netizens are asked to switch off internet connection to browse the superstar's website.
Users can read Rajini's history of both real and reel life from the beginning, browsing through famous Rajini jokes about impossible feats only he can achieve.
Webchutney's creative director Gurbaksh Singh, who developed the site, said that this unique website is a tribute to Rajinikanth.
The websites reflects Rajini's signature style with a heady mix of foot-tapping music, vibrant splash of colours, quirky quotes and illustrations, and also icons in true Rajini style and lingo.
If a visitor attempts to re-connect the internet, an error message will appear in a Rajinikanth's style.
"Aiyyo! That was unexpected. To keep browsing, switch off your Internet," reads the message.
As per the reports, the website got 10,000 visits just after few hours of its launch. It has also become popular on Facebook and Twitter.
According to Singh, after a few iterations and testing, they cracked the code required to build the world's first unique website that runs without switching on the internet and which is as awesome and unbelievable as miracles and stunts associated or performed by the superstar himself.
